Fire storm

The summer of 2020 was a one of massive bushfires, intense heat and smoke haze. This was probably the worst day, when a fire reached close to the outskirts of Canberra, burning out of control in the National Park out there, and it looked like it could advance on the city. Some areas were preparing to evacuate. Fortunately, the winds pushed it in a different direction, but it burnt for many weeks and visibility deteriorated badly.
