Tree branch mandala

This mandala-like image began as a photo of the reflection of the upper branches of a tree on the river, backlit by the rising sun. I mirrored and copied the image both horizontally and vertically, creating a double bi-lateral symmetry. I love the delicate, lace-like quality of the image, and how it suggests the presence of some sort of celestial entity.
