The ominous thud I heard from the office told me that a bird had hit the glass door in the kitchen...sure enough, there on the terrace was a stunned swallow...when I picked him up, he went limp and I despaired for his life...5 minutes in a bowl to keep inquisitive dogs away, and he began to recover from his shock impact...took this just before he went on his way..forgot the spot meter was on
