Washing the Berries
"One does not begin to make a garden until he wants a garden. To want a garden is to be interested in plants, in the winds and rains, in birds and insects, in the warm-smelling earth."
Liberty Hyde Bailey
There are many pleasures of having a Virginia Creeper plant. The birds use it as their nesting place and eat the blue colored fruit. They often perch outside my window on its sturdy stems.
I especially love to study the plant in all the seasons, whether covered with ice, snow or a brief rain shower.
