Memories of Cinerama
When I was working with this photograph, I found a way to elongate the image. Suddenly I was reminded of one of the movie theaters of my youth. My parents and I would travel to the larger town nearby to watch films called Cinerama films. Cinerama was a widescreen process that originally projected images simultaneously from three synchronized 35 mm projectors onto a huge, deeply curved screen. Attending these special films was a big event way back in the 1950's. Here's a link if you're interested in the history of this process.
