Out For A Morning Stroll

Years ago I spotted this animal slowly moving across a large boulder. I wondered if it was an arthropod, as it looked similar to tiny animal called a roly-poly or pill bug. Whatever the name, I waited for the critter to make it to the pinnacle of the rock face. "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward."
