A New Acquaintance

While walking one morning I spotted a bright orange feather tipped in black. There was no way that I'd leave that treasure on the ground. ;) It took diving into my Pacific Northwest bird books to locate the possible owner of said feather. Eventually I determined it to be from a Varied Thrush. What a glorious bird! I'm so glad I was paying attention to my surroundings.
