Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park established in 1885

 

Head-torso length 240 to 340 cm (plus 50 to 110 cm long tail), shoulder height 148 to 175 cm, weight 350 to 900 kg.

Bulls are larger, about twice as heavy as females

A herd consists of dominant females leading the herd, followed by cows with very young calves and young animals in the centre. This also includes bulls of different ages.
