Bolivia - Salar de Uyuni 3700m - View from my window

The Salar de Uyuni in the Andes in the southwest of Bolivia is the largest salt pan on earth. A prehistoric, dried-up lake of about 11,000 m².

Larger in area than, for example, Lower Bavaria. The brine below the surface reaches up to 72m, possibly 121m in depth. With glistening brightness, it resembles a frozen lake, almost devoid of any kind of living creatures.
