1983 (ca.), Andy Warhol, Marilyn Postcard (from the Marilyn series) (special exhibition) -- Bermuda National Gallery

From the museum label:

This postcard, which is hand signed by Andy Warhol, features an image from the Marilyn series. The first silkscreen portfolio to be released by Factory Additions in 1967, the Marilyn series was based on a single source image of the actress reproduced in a variety of colourways.

Just as Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans (1962) mimicked the mass production of consumer goods, this series echoed the mass media attention that the actress' death wrought on the American public.

In 2022, one of the paintings from the Marilyn series, Shot Sage Blue Marilyn (1964), sold for $195 million at Christie's, New York, making it the most expensive 20th century painting ever sold at auction.
