From the museum label: Three girls on a bridge. Munch finds this scene at Asgärdstrand on the Oslofjord, where he has a summer cottage. The bridge leads to a pier where ferry boats dock. The white houses, moon and lime tree feature in several of Munch's pictures. It is a lucid summer night. Are the girls waiting for someone?
