From the exhibition label: On a high mountain Christ was transfigured - his face and clothes shining like the sun. Three disciples witnessed him in conversation with the prophets Moses (left) and Elijah (right). They fall down with fear at the sound of God's voice. Christ's holy radiance is indicated by the striations (golden folds) of his garments and the rosy glow on the ground. As viewers, we join the disciples and the newly sighted man from the previous scene, witnessing Christ's glory.
