1903 (ca.), Mary Cassatt, Simone in a Blue Bonnet (No. 1) -- San Diego Museum of Art

From the museum label: This painting is one of about twenty renditions Cassatt made of the same young girl, Simone, who was likely a neighbor in a nearby village. Cassatt, an American who lived much of her life in France and was an advocate of women's rights, found delight and commercial success in her depictions of youthful subjects.
