1915, Emil Filla, Still Life with Fish -- San Diego Museum of Art

From the museum label: Emil Filla, having lived in Paris in the 1910s, introduced the Cubism of Picasso and Braque to Prague. After the outbreak of World War I, Filla took refuge in the Netherlands. Inspired by both Cubism and Dutch Old Masters, he executed a series of magnificent still life paintings, including this one, that became his most influential works.
