1734 (ca.), Giovanni Battista Pittoni, The Sacrifice of Polyxena -- Getty Museum (Los Angeles)

From the museum label: The Trojan princess Polyxena betrayed her Greek lover, Achilles, by revealing to his enemies the only vulnerable spot on his body, his heel, thus causing his death. Before he died, Achilles vengefully demanded that Polyxena be sacrificed at his tomb. Pittoni created this and three other paintings for his chief patron, Marshal Schulenburg, an important German collector of Venetian art.
