1925, Joan Miró, Painting (The white glove) -- Joan Miró Foundation (Barcelona)
From the museum label: According to Miró, what influenced him the most about Surrealism was its purpose of going 'beyond form to achieve poetry'. That led him to abandon techniques particular to painting, such as perspective, scale or chiaroscuro and, instead, to use resources of the poetic language. In this painting, we can see three weightless elements of a very different nature that, on a blue, empty background, seem to evoke the desire to touch one another.
