1486 (ca.), Domenico Ghirlandaio (Domenico Bigordi), Madonna and Child with the Archangels Michael and Raphael and with the Sainted Bishops Justus and Zenobius -- Uffizi Gallery (Florence)
From the museum label: This altarpiece was painted for the convent church of San Giusto outside Porta a Pinti, which was destroyed in 1529 during the siege of Florence. It is one of the masterpieces of Domenico Ghirlandaio, the painter who grasped the Flemish masters' approach to naturalism perhaps better than any other artist in Florence.
