1492 (ca.), Pietro Perugino (Pietro Vannucci), Crucifixion with St. Jerome, St. Francis, St. Mary Magdalen, St. John the Baptist and the Blessed Giovanni Colombini -- Uffizi Gallery (Florence)

From the museum label: This altarpiece was originally painted for the Gesuati brothers' church of San Giusto, which stood outside the (now destroyed) city gate of Porta a Pinti. When the convent was demolished ahead of the siege of Florence in 1529, the altarpiece was moved to the church of San Giovanni Battista della Calza. Vasari gives the painting to Perugino, but for a long time it was thought to have been painted jointly with Signorelli on account of the figures' accentuated plasticity. It was purchased for the Uffizi by the state in 1904.
