1919, František Kupka, Motif hindou (Hindu Pattern) -- Pompidou Center (Paris)

František Kupka's interest in different cultures and religions was expressed by a remarkable eclecticism of forms, as these Hindu temple-like architectures demonstrate. While the left half of the overlapping masses is brightly coloured, the right half is diluted in a light opening towards an infinite space.
