1944, Miyao Shigeo, Harmony and Unison in the Co-prosperity Sphere -- British Museum (London)

From the museum label: Japan's empire during the Asia-Pacific War (1937-45) was called the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. This propaganda painting shows a gathering of representatives from the participating governments. At far right is General Tōjō Hideki (1884-1948), who led Japan during the war. The painting is from an album titled Boosting Our Readiness for Certain Victory in the Holy War.
