1869, Claude Monet, Bathers at La Grenouillere -- National Gallery (London)

From the museum label: Monet and Renoir spent the summer of 1869 working at this popular café and bathing place on the Seine near Bougival. Monet probably set up his easel on a platform in front of the café. In the centre of the picture, figures stand on a narrow wooden walkway. In the background, bathers crowd into a swimming area.
