Canada is home to the largest Ukrainian heritage population outside of Europe. There has been an annual weekend-long Ukrainian festival in Toronto for decades. Following two years of hiatus due to Covid, the much anticipated Ukrainian Festival is back in 2022. The theme this year no doubt is to celebrate Ukrainian culture and to drum up support to defeat the Russian invasion.
This year’s festival poster thanks the ally nations that have lent support to Ukraine. It features a large sunflower with the national colours of Ukraine at the centre, formed by many smaller sunflowers with the national flags replacing where the disc florets usually are.
