It's not only dangerous felons who are remanded to the maximum security wing of the facility. Notorious troublemakers and other guys who think they are funny may be sent there too. What to expect there: A spartan cell where you will be locked in solitary confinement basically 24/7. No TV, not even radio. You may leave the cell for shower once and for one hour of exercise three times a week. Dark red jumpsuits will mark you as supermax inmate. When being moved outside the supermax wing, e.g. for court dates, you will be put in massive full harness restraints: handcuffs on a belly chain, connector chain and leg irons. Don't complain, inmate: you deserve it.
