Minnie has passed away. The infection in her tooth had spread far into her jaw and damaged the jawbone, and she also had lockjaw. Minnie had to be put down. I am very sad but also angry because the vet should have recognised the urgency a week ago and not postponed the operation for another week. Minnie would have been spared a week of suffering. I had a bad feeling all week, and Minnie probably did too. She spent the whole last night with me, cuddling and purring. She had such a great personality, with rough edges. Even back when I adopted her from the cat shelter in february 2024, she was the favourite there and lived in the office rather than with the other cats because she was simply a very headstrong and sensitive cat.
