USAF Upper Heyford 1967 Victor by Roy Szweda 1
My primitive Kodak Brownie snaps scanned in. One of the first times I ever took a camera to an airshow; there are better versions other people have done on the web but these are my souvenirs to complete the chronology. I had a lot to learn about photography and should have practised more especially holding it still! But even these mono snaps ate deeply into my pocket money when I only got two bob a week.
This was a risky shot as it was departure time for the V-bomber. The stench from the four jets was suffocating, never mind the waves of heat. Then there was the trash caught up in the jetblast,,,
Note also the DC6 I think it is in the background which I wish I had gone over to snap but I only had about 20 snaps in my camera, another severe limitation for this novice.
