Bootleggers Curve
Located on BNSF's Seligman sub west of Flagstaff is this location entitled 'Bootlegger's Curve'. The sweeping curve, mountains in the background, and ascending grade make for a truly spectacular scene to photograph the seemingly never ending action on the transcon. An interesting place to get to, bootleggers requires some effort to get to. The mud is unforgiving, and literally wanted to suck the boots off my feet as we were hiking in. Always an adventure, which is what keeps me going back for more.
