[NEW LIVERY] Stagecoach in Hull 11201 - YW19 VUY

A surprise entrant into the ranks of Stagecoach in Hull's new dark blue livery crew was 11201, a bus which... well, it seems I'd had some difficulty getting photos of it in the past. But before this was considered to be brought into the paint shop, this bus was taken out of service on the evening of 7th of March 2024 in one of the most unusual bus crashes I've seen yet. A photo from the Hull Daily Mail shows 11201 behind some barriers and resting with a smashed up front end on the Bude Road pavement, having somehow demolished a bus stop while working an 11 to Kingswood - not the 10 as Sofie Jackson would have you believe. Rather amusingly, there's a passenger still standing at the stop, almost like they're waiting for another 11 to come along.

The crash, however, left the front end of 11201 bent in quite a bit, so its no surprise that a complicated repairs process meant it eventually returned to service at the back end of July 2024. Then this February gone, it disappeared again, only to reappear back in the new brand. With it being a very nice day for it, I picked my spot on Bransholme and found myself pleasantly surprised but not one, but the two new livery buses from this batch within minutes of each other! Ah, if only they timed it right, I'd have got both in one go.

Seen here among the blossoming trees of Noddle Hill Way - credit to the driver for slowing so I could get the full effect in! - Stagecoach in Hull's recently-repainted 11201, a 2019 ADL Enviro400 MMC, approaches Wawne Road on a 12 to Hull Interchange.
