Taking a look at their MOT records, they were last passed back in September, so it can't be that... what could it possibly be that needs work in the dead of winter? And, I have to ask, is it work that Scarborough depot can't do? I wonder whether the coming works to build a new all-singing all-dancing Scarborough bus depot may lessen the need for these long-haul maintenance runs?
That and moaning about not having my camera out aside, Scarborough Locals' 'Beachcomber' branded 20892, a 2005 Volvo B7TL Wright Eclipse Gemini new to Travel London as their V46, latterly being Abellio London's 9046 and being issued as East Yorkshire's 892 in old money, is seen as part of a pair of Beachcombers in convoy down Holderness Road.
