Transdev Harrogate Bus Company ‘36’ 3641 ‘Peter Melville-Smith’ - BF67 GOE
Looking past the fact that questioning/criticising Transdev Blazefield's methods is apparently verboten, let's get back on with the Harrogate pictures as we finally move on, after a few minutes of getting lost, to Harrogate's bus station - a thankfully cooperative affair. When the sun hits just right on these 36 buses, the livery really pops off well on them. Speaking of livery, it seems a set of recruitment adverts have made their way onto the 36 buses, which... kind of look a bit out of place, but given the circumstances, a push for advertising is understandable. Finally, a few buses from this batch have been named after certain characters significant to the area, with this in particular named 'Peter Melville-Smith' following the passing of a well-known and well-loved Harrogate bus station Duty Manager and former driver. This is the second bus in the fleet to be named as such, as unfortunately, the first example was destroyed by fire early in 2020. At least, though, the name lives on.
The second bus to wear the name 'Peter Melville-Smith', Transdev Harrogate Bus Company's '36'-branded 3641, a 2017 Volvo B5TL Wright Gemini 3, heads into Harrogate Bus Station while running out of service.
