West Yorkshire Police Traffic Motorcycle YJ19 COA/CRF
Starting right at the back, I believe, and then zipping around to the front of the convoy was this rather unusual-looking BMW motorcycle, not like any other police bikes I've seen before. A Freedom of Information request fleet list suggests this is one of two BMW 850GS motorcycles employed by West Yorkshire Police, and I think it looks rather good! Here, you can also get a little sense of scale for the students and gymgoers spilling out of the buildings to take a look at just what the hell is going on down here at nine o'clock. Shortly before this zipped off, might this be called 'scenic'?
Seen here briefly stopped along Merrion Way to fend of the upcoming abnormal load lorry is one of two West Yorkshire Police traffic BMW 850GS motorcycles which according to an FOI fleetlist, is either registered as YJ19 COA or YJ19 CRF. Unfortunately, I didn’t hang around long enough to catch the correct registration, so this is tagged as both. They'll be pretty much identical, anyway.
