East Yorkshire 502 - MX12 CFF
I guess what this calls for is to roll out probably my most favourite photo of an East Yorkshire E200 I ever got, right before these got that new livery which made them otherwise unremarkable from the rest. And I will always maintain, even if the livery started to look a bit awkward on the newer buses, that this form of livery will always make any bus look good. Be it single or double deck, new or old, it is, quite simply, a livery that really does work. Of course, it is further accentuated by the addition of grey-silver-y-painted headlights. Of course, all good things must come to an end, especially now that the brand might have been seen as perhaps outdated in 2020 next to the likes of Stagecoach, but you can't not deny that the old way was a really brilliant livery style. Why Peter Shipp decided he wanted all buses to have a fully-cream front, I really wish I was able to know.
Closing out the brief introspective on East Yorkshire E200s now, East Yorkshire's 502, a 2012 ADL Enviro 200 new to now-defunct Ace Travel of Liverpool as their 756, is seen here in July 2018 retaining the old livery as it heads down Holderness Road on a 50 to Morrisons via Broadway Drive.
