147 FMSD & 147 HRC (CLT II) welcome home ceremony
There were 25 individuals making up the 147th FMSD, and during their 9-month deployment to the Middle East they managed 3 different vaults with a cash holding authority of over $24 million, processed more than 35,000 military transactions with a 99.9% accuracy rating and were charged with supporting over 20,000 personnel. These Soldiers were distinguished as being the best finance detachment in theater by audit standards, size and responsibility of mission and overall operational effectiveness. "We started strong," said Capt. Eric Hartinger, company commander. "And we finished strongest."
The six Soldiers of the 147th HRC's Casualty Liaision Team II were stationed at Bagram Airfield and Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan. The core mission of the CLT was to report casualties and submit reports within three hours of a patient's admission to and discharge from, Role III intensive care wards or intensive care units. The team responded to 217 medical evacuation requests and charted 233 admitted patients. The team also volunteered over 400 hours with mail, Morale Wellness and Recreation and USO operations, assisted with returning to home 16 Fallen Heroes, assisted with 6 missions for aeromedical evacuations, and endured 72 enemy rocket attacks. "We were able to pick-up right where CLT I left off," said 1st Lt. Willard Elliot, of the 147th HRC team his group relieved in October 2018. "Our Soldiers admirably carried out this challenging mission while representing the state of Minnesota and the 347th Regional Support Group."
