Norfolk Southern 11R heads west lite power towards Sandy Pond Road in Ayer on a hot late-May afternoon. Leading the shove as far as the wye in Ayer to spin the power was CSXT 703, a GE ES44AH sporting a killer K5HL. Part of me misses when 11R would wye their power in Ayer during the day, as it would provide the only real opportunity on Pan Am Southern to shoot non ACSES-equipped road units leading.
