PORU at Deering Junction
ST PORU hurries east at Deering Junction just outside downtown Portland on a chilly early-May afternoon in 2022. Leading the way on this day would be MEC 515, one of the 6 ACSES PTC-equipped widecab GP40s on the roster. At the time, these units usually stuck to the Massachusetts area, making 515 somewhat of a rare leader on this Rumford bound train. PORU was always a fun chase, and unfortunately this is really the only time I chased them out of Rigby. CSX L053 and L054 really just aren't the same.
