Me, Mom, and Dad 1971...
During my childhood. We would always visit Iowa in the Summer. My grandparents had an old farm we visited... I have visions of a "large" dog, chickens galore, and an outhouse that was fully functionable and used regularly.
We never stayed here. I believe we stayed at my aunt Dorothy and uncle Jim's house. They lived in Waterloo... with full plumbing...
Until we moved to Iowa, I had never seen snow in person. My aunt would always try and save some in her refrigerator. But it never quite stayed... well, that's what she told me anyway. She was my favorite Aunt, though you did not hear that from me... I only have one photo of her from later in life. I will most definitely have to upload it.
