My life in an alphabet #4. The letter "M" (Movies)...
A FEW MORE RANDOM THOUGHTS AND WORTHLESS OPINIONS...
I only like the second installment of "The Lord of The Rings". Everytime those "fairy princess women" talked, I wanted to sleep... it was like "Shut up already". The third one (King) just went on forever. So many endings. I actually looked at Bruce and said "Is this movie ever gonna end?"... by this point, I was rooting for all the Hobbits to die. I have no interest in seeing a "Hobbit" movie. Put that in the same category as "Mob" movies for me.
Peter Jackson's "King Kong", for me, is a modern masterpiece. Besides the fact that I love the character, as well as the tragic love story it tells... the movie just awed me. The scene where Ann is sacrificed to Kong made my jaw dropp... I cried, my heart sank a few times, and my heart rate went up many times. This film did it all for me. This is what movies are all about. A little long, but that's fine.
Speaking of long... I hated "The English Patient". This movie is pure torture to watch... a couple great visuals, but pure boredom. I was like "She's dead, die already!!!"
I don't mind seeing a movie more than once. Every year there is at least one film I'll see a couple of times... I saw "Batman Begins" 15 times on the big screen. I was a little(?) obsessed with this one.I was so thrilled they finally made a good Batman movie(and got it right) that I was prepaired to take full advantage of it. You never know if it will happen again... though I have more hope now then ever before.
