Flaoting Kayaks
So two guy are kayak fishing at Lake Hefner, the wind is blowing to the SSW at 34mph with 37 gusts, and they are coming sideways between the waves, when a speed boat takes off, creates a wake and then the wind and waves cause these two to flip. Lesson one, Always where a lifejacket(PFD). Make sure it fits properly and that you know what to do. Lesson Two-Learn to get back into your kayak. Lesson Three- If the kayak is forcing you under, let the damn thing go- Is that $2,690 piece of plastic worth your life? Lesson Four- If you are yelling for HELP when in the water, that will cause me to call 911 and they will come. Lesson Five- Listen to me when I give you directions, this could save your life. I said let that damn boat go, it is forcing you under, causing you to drown! Lesson Six, after you are out of the water, It is not polite to yell at the people that were trying to save you! Yes, I had time to take these pictures, but you had time to let your boat go and swim to safety. Your friend on the other hand went under a couple times, he is damn lucky to be with us today!
