The most northerly arch of the 180-yard St.Fagans viaduct (Structure No.112) which previously carried the former Barry Railway's Cadoxton-Trehafod double line over the South Wales main line (off photo to the right) and here, over the former single line Tynycaeau Jct-St.Fagans Jct branch, closed after March 1963 due to the destruction of Tynycaeau signal box. Following demolition of the viaduct, the A4232 dual carriageway's new viaduct breached this section at a lower level and links the M4 Junction 33 with Cardiff Bay via Culverhouse Cross. interchange.
