Showy Dahlia
This week I did an internet search to see if any of my copyrighted photos were being used on other websites and I found one of my flower photos posted on Fort Worth Florist Facebook's timeline. They had a ton of flower images that were from Flickr users saying that the photo was posted by us...many names I recognize on Flickr on a daily basis. I contacted the florist using their website form and asked them to take down my photo.....they didn't! I am not a Facebook user but did find a FB copyright infringement form to fill out to notify them of my stolen photo. After proving that the photo was mine and that it was copyright protected, FB took my photo down immediately but left everyone else's. I then emailed Flickr at their copyright infringement department and told them of all the copyrighted Flickr photos on this FB account. By the next day, all the photos had been removed from this thief's timeline, yay!!
I wanted Flickr friends to be aware that even if you are stating that your photos are copyrighted, they are still being stolen!! I'm not sure what the solution is to this problem; check your Flickr Privacy and Permission settings and do internet searches. I also found these links if you want to check your settings: www.flickr.com/account/prefs/downloads/?from=privacy
www.flickr.com/account/prefs/sharing?from=privacy
Thanks so much for your visits, faves and comments. Have a great day!!
