Nature's Beauty

Wild asters seen along a walking trail in the forest. These daisy-type flowers are ¾ to 1 inch across with 10 to 20 petals surrounding a yellow center disk that turns reddish with age. Petal colors range from pale blue to bright blue-violet, rarely pink or white. Best viewed large.
