PP Bottle - Polypropylene, Where Is It Applied?
Polypropylene in PP Bottle is widely used in a variety of applications due to its good chemical and solderability. Some common uses for polypropylene include:
Packaging Applications: Good barrier properties, high strength, good surface finish and low cost make polypropylene ideal for a wide range of packaging applications.
Flexible packaging: PP film has excellent optical transparency and low moisture permeability, suitable for food packaging. Other market shrink film packaging, electronic industrial film, graphic arts applications, disposable diaper sheets and sealing, etc. PP film can be used as cast film or biaxial PP (BOPP).
Rigid packaging: PP is blow molded to produce crates, bottles and cans. PP thin walled containers are commonly used for food packaging.
Consumer Products: Polypropylene is used in a variety of household and consumer applications, including translucent parts, household goods, furniture, appliances, bags, toys, and more.
Automotive applications: Due to its low cost, excellent mechanical properties and formability, polypropylene is widely used in automotive parts. Key applications include battery compartments and trays, bumpers, fender linings, interiors, instrument panels and door trims. Other key features of PP automotive applications include low linear thermal expansion coefficient and specific gravity, high chemical resistance and good weatherability, workability and impact/stiffness balance.
Fibers and Fabrics: A large number of PP used in the market, called fibers and fabrics. PP fibers are used in many applications, including raffia/slit film, tape, tying, integral continuous filaments, staple fibers, spunbond and continuous filaments. The PP and hemp ropes are very strong and moisture resistant, making them ideal for marine applications.
Medical applications: Polypropylene is used in a variety of medical applications due to its high chemical and bacterial resistance. In addition, medical grade PP exhibits good resistance to steam sterilization. Disposable syringes are the most common medical application for polypropylene. Other applications include medical vials, diagnostic equipment, petri dishes, intravenous vials, specimen bottles, food trays, pans, pill containers, and the like.
Industrial applications: Polypropylene sheets are widely used in industrial applications due to their high tensile strength, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, and produce acid and chemical tanks, plates, pipes, and recyclable transport packaging (RTP).
