Common hawk-cuckoo (Hierococcyx varius)

Such a lovely bird to observe from a close distance. Most of the times you will hear a Cuckoo singing and won't be able to find it. Unlike many of the birds of Indian subcontinent, Cuckoos tend to stay for long on a particular perch, sometimes they keep on sitting for hours.

I was lucky to sight this fellow quietly sitting on a branch of Chinaberry tree in good light of setting sun. Took some decent closeups without disturbing the lovely fellow.
