Buxton 26-2-95 (SUN) 37509+405 have just returned from Northwich on the Sunday morning empty ICI hoppers and having rolled down to the signal, they have got the road into Buxton station which they will do at a reasonably steady pace due to the fact that Buxton is a terminus and they don't want to end up in the High Street. I had just photographed it at Dove Holes and raced here to get it backing into the URS but it had been held outside the station while a DMU departed and got the road as I struggled up the bank to get into position. They will reverse into the URS and then depart via Ashwood Dale to Great Rocks Junction and reverse direction again into Tunstead Quarry. The "Hoppers" were diverted over the former LNWR route from Stockport to Buxton due to engineering work just East of New Mills South Junction
