Bridge Removed

This past Saturday (4/25) crews removed the old road bridge over the former DM&IR on Steelton Hill in far western Duluth. The bridge, long closed to vehicle traffic, carried Mission Creek trail over the busy Superior Sub and was a favorite spot for fans to photograph trains on the hill. The bridge was removed to make way for a second mainline track. Here a southbound intermodal train rolls under the bridge this past February.
