Session1 Affectionate Pigeons

Converted to BW in Lightroom
Treatment in Photoshop:
Added BW Starry Night texture with hard light @ 83% opacity and a layer mask. I tried rotating the texture and moving it around. I finally compressed it without worrying about distortion so I fit most of the originally rectangular texture into the square canvass with my image.
I took this at the beach last spring. I followed these two pigeons around and took many photos of them, trying to isolate them from the rest of the group. This was the best and it never occurred to me to try it in black and white until I was looking for photos to play with for this class.
The texture might be a bit much but it adds interest and like a vignette focuses attention on the pigeons' faces.
