Lory Parrots @ Ardastra Gardens

Lory parrots at the Ardastra Gardens, Zoo & Conservation Center, Nassau, Bahamas

 

2 different colored varieties of Lory parrots are kept in a large cage. You are given slices of apples and the parrots fly down and land on your arm and eat.

 

I know, zoos, and training animals, are not politically correct. But I really had a good time at this place. A lot of the animals and birds are rescues, (though these parrots are not rescues). It was probably the cheapest thing we did on the island and highly enjoyable.
