The code sent to all German Submarines was 'Germany Total'. News of the sinking of the aircraft Carrier HMS 'Courageous' was restrict to the British Public on this sinking. There may have been a mention of the sinking but not mentioning the name of the ship?
Sunk by U.29 Commanded my Commander Schuhart
518 sailors lost their lives including Captain Mackeig-Jones who remained on the Bridge.
