This was John Wayne's last movie.

A dying gunfighter spends his last days looking for a way to die with a minimum of pain and a maximum of dignity. Dramatic to the end. It was as though he was saying farewell. A great actor and a true American. It must have been tough for the supporting actors knowing John was suffering from Cancer himself.
