Jane Russell 1921- 2011
Her first movie 'The Outlaw' (1943) with Jack Buetel certainly caught the attention of male audiences. 'Young Widow' (1946) with Louis Hayward left no doubt as to her acting abilities.
Billing her with Bob Hope in 'The Paleface' (1948) as Calamity Jane was genius. 'His Kind of Woman' (1951) with Robert Mitchum followed by 'Double Dynamite' (1951) with Groucho Marx and Frank Sinatra. Back with Bob Hope in 'Son of Palefacohnne' (1952), 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' (1953) teamed her with Marilyn Monroe. 'Gentlemen Marry Brunettes' (1955) with Jeanne Crain. 'The Fuzzy Pink Nightgown' (1957), 'Johnny Reno' (1966), 'Waco' (1966),'The Born Losers' (1967), 'Darker Than Amber' (1970) was her last movie.
She passed away on February 28th 2011 aged 89.
