Golders Green Depot, 1956

A climb up one of the Depots lighting towers presented me with this interesting shot of stabled 1938 tube stock and a ballast train. Rotherwick Road ran along at the rear of the depot. All trains were called up by a loud tannoy system set up all over the depot commencing in the very early hours. I never heard of any complains from residents. I guess they got used to it?

Even in my mid 20's, not a climb I would do again.
